Atefeh Golpaie is a registered dietitian regulated under the College of Dietitians of Ontario, certified diabetes educator, and certified bariatric educator with ten years of experience. She is a member of the Dietitians of Canada. She also have received Certification of Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE).
Atefeh has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in nutrition where she conducted practice-based research following bariatric patients prior to and after surgery. She has collaborated with different research studies and has published in peer-reviewed journals
She has a special interest in weight management, diabetes and chronic health conditions. Atefeh possess a strong commitment to aiding and educating patients. Atefeh is working as a health educator and registered dietitian in different outpatient clinics which focuses on prevention and management of obesity and chronic disease. She has extensive experience in nutrition counseling, assessment, diagnosis, and intervention.
Atefeh has a distinctive approach to her practice and provides advice that is attainable, realistic to achieve based on client’s goals. She is a firm believer that we are what we eat. Clients are empowered to make changes through SMART goals. As it can help to initiate and apply positive changes to an individual’s nutrition; it can lead to long-lasting lifestyle change and a morehealthier, cheerful and fulfilling life.
